It is recommended to take 10,000 steps a day but I had no idea how many steps I was taking. This fit tracker is an awesome tool for anyone who is health conscious.

    Pros:
*Easy to set up and use
*accurate step counter and heart rate monitor
*Ability to time specific activities and get a summary of calories burned, steps, distance, average heart rate, etc
*App stores data so I can see progress over time
    *Feels comfortable on my wrist
*Tracks sleep: deep sleep, light sleep, and awake time
*Tracker will vibrate and remind me to move if I’ve been sitting too long.
*A fun way to keep track of daily activity.

    Suggestions for use:
*I had a hard time trying to sync my phone to the fit tracker the first time. The directions offer good suggestions on how to sync the phone if it doesn’t happen automatically, and then it synced.
*In the beginning the app seemed to have a few bugs but I haven’t had any more problems with it.

Overall, I think this is a great product and I’ve enjoyed keeping track of my steps.

This is about the 8th fitness tracker I’ve owned in the past 4 years, but it’s easily my favorite, and it was the cheapest.

All told, this is a really solid little wearable for 40 bucks. It does everything well that is important to me:

    1. It Looks good
    2. It’s easy to keep using (convenient and easy to charge & charges fast – I charge it while I’m in the shower, so like 15 minutes every day or 2)
    3. It vibrates when I want it to (you can customize what notifications it should display, I get like 400 notifications a day, so I basically block out every noise my phone makes. I set this to only vibrate for texts & calls, so now my friends don’t think I’m ignoring them as often)

I really really really love the charging situation. You don’t have to keep up with a random little cable, you can just plug it directly into any usb port. I hate keeping up with cables, and I’ve had a few smart watches with really weird finicky magnetic charges, etc. This is so much better, in my opinion, and USB ports are everywhere these days. I can literally charge my smart watch on the side of my TV, or my printer, or my Wireless router, lol. (I haven’t done this, but it’s cool that I could)

Design / Style is also really cool. I love the way it looks (I got the Black) and fits on my wrist. I also really appreciate the attention to detail on this little guy. For example, the little loop that holds the extra length of the watch strap has a tiny little piece that fits into the holes on the watch strap. This keeps it in place, so it doesn’t slide back and forth. I don’t know why this hasn’t been a thing on every watch ever, maybe it has and I just haven’t had the right watches / trackers, but it’s pretty great.

Now as far as the device itself, the screen and battery life are way better than they should be for $40. It seems to track everything as advertised (I do have a few complaints I’ll talk about below). All in all, the hardware is awesome at this price point.

[This only applies to the android app] The software is where I was really impressed. Like I said, I’ve had a lot of fitness trackers from some major players, and also some non major players, and I assumed the weak link here would be the software (which is where all the magic happens). I was very pleasantly surprised – the software seems very well developed (I’ve written a few mobile apps). It’s responsive, attractive, nice animations, etc. It’s also extremely full featured – again, attention to detail. One of my favorite things is that you can set it to check your heart rate every so often automatically. I hadn’t had this option on any tracker before without downloading 3rd party apps. There are also all kinds of settings that let you do all kinds of stuff, but it can be kinda hard to find. Tap on settings, then on the device name at the top and you get a menu with all kinds of options. I did see another review that said the app is shared with another fitness tracker, so there’s that.

The only negatives I’ve found are very specific to my current life situation, and probably don’t apply to many people, so I’m still giving it 5 stars. First – the steps are always way inflated for me, it took me a few days to figure out, but I think I know why. We just had twins a few weeks ago, so I’m doing a lot of burping & bouncing. I’m pretty sure this is being counted as taking steps, since it’s a repeated movement that may trigger similar to walking. Also – due to not sleeping more than a few hours at a time, again, because of the twins, The sleep tracking doesn’t register all that often. It actually says in the software that it can only register sleep if it’s more than 3 consecutive hours… I’ve only slept 3 consecutive hours 3 times in 2 weeks, so that’s not really the software’s fault. I’m hoping it’ll be updated to be able to track smaller naps and stuff, but I haven’t seen a wearable yet that does that without you manually putting it into sleep mode.

I haven’t had a chance to use the GPS functions yet, but will update this review once I do. Again, just had twins 4 weeks ago, so not much time to go for a jog.

This is an awesome piece of hardware, and at a great price!

Very waterproof, can be washed directly, swimming.

I used to have a fitbit, but it broke almost immediately, and I didn’t feel like spending a lot of money on a new one to have it break again. So, I started looking around and found this one. I was a bit skeptical when I saw the price, but to my surprise, it’s been working fantastically! It also arrived really quickly, which is good, since I’m starting to train consistently again.
